• Oils and Fats Analysis: 26thDGF Proficiency Test 2020

    Organised by the German Society for Fat Science (DGF).

    32 parameters can be tested this year.

    Each laboratory may choose an individual set of parameters from the list below. The execution and the evaluation of the laboratory comparison test are carried out according to the internationally recognized recommendations "Proficiency Testing Of Laboratories" of Codex Alimentarius and ISO.

    List of parameters:


    -Acid value (Free Fatty Acids)
    -Peroxid value
    -Anisidine value
    -Iodine value
    -Di- and Polymerized Triacylglycerols
    -Parameter of interest: Di-, tri- and oligomeric triacylglycerols = Sum of dimeric, trimeric and oligomeric tricylglycerols
    -Total polar compounds
    -Tocopherols (alpha- Tocopherol, beta-Tocopherol, gamma- Tocopherol and delta- Tocopherol)
    -Lovibond Colour Index (yellow, 5 1/4 inch)
    -Lovibond Colour Index (red, 5 1/4 inch)
    -Gardner Colour Index
    -Smoke point


    -Butyric acid
    -Triacylglycerol distribution (GC-FID)

    Olive oil and minor compounds:

    -Alkyl esters (Methyl esters (C16 and C18) and Ethyl esters (C16 and C18))
    -Pyropheophytin A
    -Isomeric Diglycerides
    -K-Values (UV Absorption K232, K270)


    -PAH (the most important four acc.to EFSA)
    -Mineral Oil Hydrocarbons

    Physical properties:

    -Refractive Index (20 °C)
    -Density (20/20)
    -Rancimat (120 °C, 10 L/h)


    Vegetable Oil, Olive Oil and a Used Deep-Frying Oil. (150g each, can be doubled on request)

    Participation Fee:

    350 Euro + VAT
    (a reduced fee of 310 Euro applies for DGF corporate members).

    Double amount of samples: add 50 Euro

    Shipping of Samples:

    add 5 Euro for Germany, 20 Euro for Europe and 40 Euro for World)
